NAEMT FOTS – First On The Scene
At the Rigad Olomouc store, you can take part in the internationally accredited NAEMT FOTS – First On The Scene course, conducted by instructors from Elite Training Center Czech Republic. The course is designed for first responders, members of the Integrated Rescue System, and civilian participants who want to gain confidence in delivering basic prehospital emergency care under real-world conditions.
About the NAEMT FOTS Course
The NAEMT FOTS (First On The Scene) program is an accredited training course developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT, USA) and focuses on managing emergencies in prehospital environments.
It is suitable for civilians, armed forces and security personnel, firefighters, and emergency medical services (EMS) who wish to learn how to react properly to trauma and acute medical conditions before professional help arrives.
The eight-hour course combines theory with hands-on skills training and scenario-based exercises in realistic conditions. Under the guidance of instructors from the Czech Armed Forces, Police of the Czech Republic, and Emergency Medical Services, participants will learn the fundamentals of prehospital emergency care, including improvisation and the use of available resources.
What You Will Learn
The NAEMT FOTS – First On The Scene course blends theoretical instruction with extensive practical training in realistic, stress-inducing scenarios. Participants will learn to provide prehospital emergency care step by step – from initial assessment to patient transport.
During the course you will master:
- Activation of emergency numbers 112 and 155.
- Basic life support (BLS) and the use of an AED.
- Recognition and management of acute medical and trauma emergencies.
- Application of algorithmic medicine principles for rapid decision-making.
- Short-distance casualty extraction.
- Hemorrhage control using commercial and improvised tools.
- Airway management and maintaining airway patency.
- Diagnosis and treatment of thoracic injuries.
- Recognition and management of shock and its treatment.
- Correct patient positioning and preparation for evacuation.
- Response to simulated scenarios under stress.
All instruction is led by experienced instructors from the Czech Armed Forces, Police, and EMS, emphasizing hands-on drills, improvisation, and teamwork.

Instructors

Instructors come from the Czech Armed Forces, Integrated Rescue System, and civilian healthcare, bringing extensive operational and instructional experience from both domestic and international missions. Courses can also be held directly at your institution – the instructor team will bring complete training equipment and tailor the curriculum to your operational environment.

The course fee includes facility and equipment rental, instructor and assistant work, training aids, role players, and the NAEMT FOTS certificate. Other costs (meals, accommodation, transport, printed materials, etc.) are the responsibility of each participant.
Certification
Every graduate receives an NAEMT First On The Scene certificate, recognized worldwide.
Required Equipment
- Uniform or outdoor clothing appropriate to the weather (ideally two sets),
- sturdy footwear, indoor shoes, writing tools, notebook.
